There are more solutions than obstacles. Nicolas Zart
One year. Twelve months. Over 1,000 downloads.
When we launched The Ways We Move podcast, here on YouTube, in December 2024, we set out to explore something specific: the innovative mobility solutions transforming how humanity travels, and more importantly, the people pioneering these changes. With 20 years as a journalist in innovative mobility solutions, I was blessed to have seen the very beginning of the electric vehicle (EV) industry’s birth, pain points, and success. When I switched over to electric air mobility, then only covering urban air mobility (UAM), I decided to focus on the one thing that held back EV adoption: infrastructure. The Ways We Move continues that 20-year-old drive to communicate, educate, and reach out to you about the amazing work of innovative mobility solutions designed right now.
Today, we’re humbled to share that we’ve reached over 1,000 downloads in less than a year. And there is more to come!

The Ways We Move, a Niche Podcast with a Big Reach!
A podcast focused on electric mobility, advanced air mobility, and transportation innovation is not like the big-name podcast you hear out there. Our world is filled with deeply passionate people, often working in the trenches of anonymity. This milestone exceeds anything we imagined when we hit “record” on our first episode. And the journey is just beginning!

The Ways We Move, A Community Built on Curiosity
The Ways We Move isn’t trying to be everything to everyone. We’re intentionally focused on the intersection of technology, sustainability, and human ingenuity in mobility. Our listeners are:
- Industry professionals exploring emerging transportation technologies
- Engineers and designers working on next-generation vehicles
- Entrepreneurs building mobility startups
- Policy makers shaping transportation’s future
- Curious minds are fascinated by how we’ll move tomorrow
You’ve found us because you share our belief: how we move matters. The vehicles we design, the infrastructure we build, the policies we create—these shape not just transportation, but society itself.
The Ways We Move & The Pioneers Who Made This Possible
Every episode of The Ways We Move features conversations with innovators who are actively building the future of mobility. These are theoretical discussions and practical realities from world-renowned stakeholders. These are practitioners sharing real challenges, breakthrough moments, and hard-won insights from the frontlines of transportation innovations.
From electric aviation pioneers to urban mobility designers, from battery technology experts to policy advocates—our guests have generously shared their time, expertise, and vision with our community.
To every guest who has joined us: thank you. Your willingness to share your work has made this podcast what it is.
Our First Sponsor: AeroAuto Global
We want to extend special recognition to AeroAuto Global, our first sponsor. Their early support has enabled us to maintain production quality, invest in better equipment, and most importantly, keep The Ways We Move completely free for our listeners.

AeroAuto Global’s commitment to advancing electric air mobility aligns perfectly with our mission to spotlight innovative transportation solutions. Their sponsorship demonstrates that forward-thinking companies understand the value of supporting independent media that serves the mobility innovation community.
Thank you, AeroAuto Global, for believing in what we’re building!
Free. Focused. Forward-Looking.
From day one, our commitment has been clear: deliver high-quality conversations about innovative mobility solutions, accessible to anyone interested in transportation’s future.
No paywalls. No premium tiers. No exclusive content hidden behind subscriptions.
The Ways We Move remains free because we believe these conversations about mobility innovation should be accessible to students, entrepreneurs, engineers, and curious minds, regardless of their ability to pay.
But free content isn’t free to produce. Quality audio equipment, editing software, hosting platforms, research time, and production work all require resources.

What’s Next: Year Two and Beyond
Reaching 1,000 downloads in our first year is meaningful, but it’s just the beginning. Here’s what we’re working on for year two:
More Diverse Voices: We’re committed to featuring a wider range of perspectives—different mobility solutions and different segments of the mobility ecosystem, different approaches to solving transportation challenges. We call on those working with electric vehicles (EV), electric railroad, and electric maritime industries to contact us.
Deeper Conversations On Patreon: As our audience grows, we’re exploring longer-format episodes that allow for more nuanced discussions of complex mobility topics.
Interactive Content: We’re considering Q&A episodes where listeners can submit questions for our guests, and roundtable discussions bringing multiple experts together around specific mobility challenges.
Enhanced Production: Thanks to sponsor support and listener growth, we’re investing in even better audio quality and production value.
But wait, there’s more!
The Electric Air Mobility AAM Master Class kicked off to an amazing start this past September in Rome at the Aeroporti di Roma. Kindly co-hosted with UrbanV, I designed the master class after speaking with fellow co-workers over the past two years. With a strategy centered on academia, real-life expertise, and workshop modules, it was amazing to see companies from Korea all the way to Peru working together to solve a single vertiport route. The successful feedback is one I will cherish throughout my life: “No cheerleaders here”, “Practical, down-to-earth education”, and my favorite, “Only sober people here, no fluff!”
Next year, Vancouver! We’re off to our second edition in Vancouver, Canada, with our new partner, Curtis Grad, from Modalis, whom you might remember was one of our early The Ways We Move guests.
